Have you ever wondered why your florist always had the stems cut at a 45-degree angle?
The reason behind this is quite simple as the angle will allow for more surface area to allow more water uptake keeping your flower looking just as beautiful as you first got it. When recutting the flower stem make sure to use a sharp tool because if you do not there is a chance that you end up crushing the stem preventing it from up taking water. Lastly cut ½ to 1 inch off the stem every 2-3 days.
